The DaVinci Code

The movie is released! The most-anticipated blockbuster of the summer is here. Will it be all it is hyped to be or must we wait until June and hope that Superman can save the summer? (The X-Men will be busy with their own problems next weekend).

I probably won't see the film until next week. But if you saw it, leave a comment and let me know what you thought. Don't worry - you can't spoil the plot of this one for me!

The movie was not as intense, both in terms of actiion/suspense and in terms of intensity of angst against the Catholic Church, Constantine, deity of Christ, etc. Had the "cover up" been based on government or anything other than Christianity, the movie would be "just OK." Nothing special. Actually, considering this is a "Ron Howard film" and Tom Hanks was the central character, I was rather disappointed with the film. Hopefully, we'll still have open doors to discuss things central to us... Jesus' true identity, women's role(s) (hopefully an opportunity for all to reconsider and open up), Constantine's role, and integrity in research, etc.

I want to find Tom Hanks's speech "Let's go to the movies!" Who can help?

Thanks for your comment. I liked the movie much better than the novel. Tom Hanks is one of my favorite actors as well. Apollo 13 is one of my all-time favorite movies.
